Few Cattleya hybrids have earned the legendary reputation of Slc. Anzac 'Orchidhurst'. Awarded a First Class Certificate by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1938, it is widely regarded as one of the most iconic red Cattleyas ever created and remains one of the most influential hybrids in Cattleya breeding history, producing more than 300 first-generation offspring.
This remarkable clone has always been difficult to find, and finding a clean plant has become even more challenging over the years since many older divisions carried Cymbidium Mosaic Virus (CymMV). These plants have been meristemmed specifically to eliminate the virus, providing healthy, virus-free clones of this historic orchid.
