Waldor Orchids – Shipping, Returns, and Privacy Policy
At Waldor Orchids, we are committed to healthy plants and clear, fair policies. Please review the details below before placing an order.
Terms of Sale
Payment
- We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.
- All payment information is processed securely. Waldor Orchids does not retain credit card details after processing.
Ordering
- All internet orders must be placed online. For questions, email us or call (609) 927-4126 and ask for Web Sales.
- Orders ship the following week on Monday or Tuesday, weather permitting.
- Plants ship out of bloom, unless otherwise specified.
- If you need a different ship date, please contact us. Additional charges may apply.
- New Jersey residents are charged New Jersey sales tax.
- Buyers must provide an accurate, current shipping address. Orders returned due to an incorrect address will be reshipped at the buyer’s expense.
- Waldor Orchids may substitute a comparable plant of equal or greater value if an item becomes unavailable, unless you request no substitutions.
Shipping
- Waldor Orchids reserves the right to select the carrier and service that provides the safest and most efficient delivery, even if it differs from the method chosen at checkout.
- We ship by USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, or FedEx for larger shipments. Charges are billed at actual cost.
- If temperatures at origin or destination are unsuitable for live plants, we may hold an order until conditions improve.
- Heat Packs, Winter Only: During cold weather, we may include heat packs to protect plants in transit. Heat packs are single-use and cannot be reused. While heat packs are valued at $2 each, Waldor Orchids typically covers this cost. If an unusually large order requires multiple packs, we will contact you before shipping.
- Delivery Confirmation: Once a package is marked “Delivered” by the carrier, Waldor Orchids is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage that occurs after delivery. Please provide a safe delivery location. You may request Signature Confirmation or Hold for Pickup for added security. Additional fees may apply.
- Shipping, handling, and heat pack charges are non-refundable.
Satisfaction and Returns
- If there is a problem with your order, contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Keep the original box and shipping label.
- Unsatisfactory plants may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a refund or replacement, at our discretion.
- Our liability, in all instances, is limited to the purchase price of the plants sold. We do not guarantee the health or productivity of plants beyond the stated period.
Limitation of Remedies: The buyer’s sole and exclusive remedies are limited to replacement of plant material or refund of the purchase price. Waldor Orchids is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including economic loss, lost profits, growing costs, inspection, transportation, or related expenses. Recovery of any kind will not exceed the original purchase price of the plant material.
Live Plant Disclaimer
- Orchids are living plants. Natural variation in size, shape, color, and leaf condition is normal. Minor cosmetic imperfections, such as leaf spots or blemishes, are not defects.
- Extreme heat or cold carries inherent risk. We take precautions, but we cannot guarantee against weather-related damage once plants are released to the carrier.

- Order information: name, billing address, shipping address, payment details, email address, and phone number.
