🌱 Orchid Nerd Cymbidium Orchid Potting Mix – 2 Cubic Foot Box
This 2 cubic foot box of Orchid Nerd™ Cymbidium Mix offers the same trusted formula used by professionals—now in a larger size ideal for re-potting multiple Cymbidiums or maintaining a full collection. Developed by Waldor Orchids, this mix provides excellent drainage, root support, and airflow, making it perfect for strong, sympodial growers like Cymbidiums.
Also available in a 1 Cubic Foot Box for smaller re-potting projects.
🌿 Premium Ingredients Include:
- Medium and fine-grade fir bark – provides sturdy support and moderate water retention for Cymbidium roots
- Sponge rock – enhances aeration and drainage to reduce the risk of root rot
- Proprietary ingredients – promote strong root systems, nutrient absorption, and seasonal growth cycles
🌟 Potting Tip: When potting Cymbidiums, we recommend using 1–2 inches of straight medium fir bark in the bottom of the pot for improved drainage and root stability.
✅ Ideal For:
- Cymbidium orchids in large decorative pots or greenhouse setups
- Cooler-growing orchids that require structure and airflow
- Growers re-potting multiple plants or managing large collections
📦 Size: 2 Cubic Feet – ideal for commercial use, exhibitions, or mass re-potting

💡 Tips for Best Results
Re-pot orchids every 12–18 months or when potting mix starts to break down. Always re-pot after blooming to reduce stress on the plant.
We ship live orchid plants with care. All plants are carefully inspected, packed bare root or in pot, and shipped to arrive in excellent condition.
Please review our Important Plant Shipping Notice before ordering — it covers shipping windows, weather holds, and what to do if your plant arrives damaged.
